It Starts With Us
The Phoenix Fund is dedicated to empowering U.S. workers and their rights through strong unions.
Our Partnerships
The Phoenix Fund expands it work through partnerships with unions, Historically Black College and Universities, labor- community collaborations and worker centers.
Initiatives
The Phoenix Fund has supported collaborative projects in metropolitan areas across the U.S. that are revitalizing civic participation through new organizing and regional economic policy reform. In each project, progressive unions are reconnecting with community organizations and interfaith networks, and reaching new allies among immigrants and students. These collaborations are advancing broad policy agendas with a clear goal: to make decent jobs, worker rights, and public accountability the conditions of economic development, not its first casualties.
To help build the next leaders and organizers of tomorrow the Phoenix Fund launched a fellowship program in 2020. This program is for for rising college juniors and seniors and offers an opportunity to learn about labor, community organizing, movement building, civic engagement, and gives fellows insight and experience in the day-to-day efforts that go into organizing with partner non-profit organizations on a macro level.
